It's been a long few days since I've updated everyone back home in the States. First, I would like to thank you all again for keeping up with all of my activities while I'm studying abroad in Ireland (and apologize for not being exciting this weekend)! Trust me though, this coming weekend will make up for it!
Saturday evening I spent it out with Conner, my friend Paul, and others at Flannery's bar on Camden street dancing to good music and enjoying liquid refreshments as most college students may on a normal weekend. (Seeing as I've been traveling so much, I haven't really had any normal weekends in! It was a nice contrast for the night!) I spent my Sunday and Monday drinking tea to get rid of my cough and studying for my Non-Ruminant Production exam I had this morning. I also got to plan this coming weekend with Paul (lets just say: ROAD TRIP!). I've also gotten a few runs in around my campus which is my down time to enjoy the weather, the beautiful autumn leaves, and reflect on my days here in Dublin.
I'm training for the Run in the Dark 10K that supports spinal cord injury research on November 10th that I am very excited about! That is just one of the many exciting plans I have for the upcoming weeks! This weekend will be full of adventures as Alyshia arrives from Africa on Thursday and will be here until Tuesday. Can't wait to share all the experiences with each of you! :) Stay tuned.
[ Side note: I would like to also express my excitement for one of my best childhood friends as she has taken on a grand adventure of her own today! Kasey Rogers became a mom today to a little baby girl, Elena! I am sad to have missed her birth but so thrilled to be able to get back home to meet her. I love your little family very much, Kasey. ]
