It’s been a hectic past few days as I’ve officially had my last day of classes yesterday! I had three exams in two days this week, one being a final on Wednesday. I spent a lot of the week stressing out and studying, but after I finished my last lecture yesterday, I relaxed and had an amazing day!
As everyone knows, it was an American holiday; everyone back home was with family and friends celebrating Thanksgiving. So that is exactly what we did here! I celebrated my health by going on a run, then my roommates, Conner, and I sat around the table and shared a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Morgan cooked turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, homemade noodles, corn, and bread. It was delicious and we were able to share our holiday with Fiona, who had never celebrated Thanksgiving before.
With it being Thanksgiving, I should say that I am so very thankful for my experience studying abroad here in Ireland, thankful for the memories I’ve made, and for all of my friends I’ve made here, as well as my friends back home. I am grateful for my Purdue education because it has opened up many of the doors I’ve followed around the world. I’m thankful for the most supportive boyfriend, parents, sister, and other family members. I have been so blessed throughout my life, and I could go on for days about all that I am thankful for, but I won’t! I hope that everyone back home had a great thanksgiving with their families and ate lots of pumpkin pie for me, and watched lots of football (as those were the only things missing for me!)
Last night, to end our day, Conner and I went to see Zedd in concert at The Academy here in Dublin. It was an amazing concert, and I had the greatest time with him and enjoying the music. We were in the very front of the audience the whole time, made lots of friends, and danced the night away. I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
We have a busy weekend ahead of us and I have some travels planned starting on Monday, but I will save those adventures for next time! Happy holidays everyone!
