Arrived in Dublin this morning at around nine o'clock here, around four Indiana time. After taking a bus with several other foreign exchange students, including my roommate Morgan, I was able to officially check-in at UCD and get settled into my dorm/apartment on campus. It has been a crazy, long, exciting day with all sorts of struggles and all sorts of fun. I got to learn why I packed my rain boots and two raincoats, how to look both ways before crossing the street, and that double espresso can't even wake me up. I learned how easy it is to get locked out of your room and that you should only pack as much as you can carry up three flights of stairs. Spent the majority of the day walking up and down the streets of Dublin in awe of the architecture, amazingly bright green grass, and the amount of cafes and bakeries one street can contain. I am certain that this was the right decision for the beginning of my last year of college, and I can't wait to see what each new day will bring. Traveling humbles me, it forces me to get out of my comfort zone, and see things from a new perspective, and for that I am grateful. "This heart of mine was made to travel the world."
